Versatile Vocabulary!

Pupils used their imagination to come to school dressed as a word on Versatile Vocabulary Day - 23 October.

Not just any word, either:  not a noun, rather an adjective, verb or adverb. The purpose of this day was to promote thinking and discussion around the value of vocabulary. There were some very imaginative costumes indeed, and pupils enjoyed a day of special learning activities to promote and extend their vocabulary. Schools across our Trust are holding similar events to highlight the importance of a wide and varied vocabulary to children's learning.
